Artists are building a career with LEGO piecesJuly 26, 2019 Al Greenfield, LEXINGTON, Ky.  WTVQ   This weekend, you ;ll be able to see millions of LEGOs at the Brice Universe convention at the Lexington Center.LEGOs are more than just a toy for some people and instead it  stanley mug 8217  a career.Jonathan Lopes is a LEGO artist, but that   not the career he thought he would have.For awhile, he was a musician trying to make it big in New York City.He   been creating LEGO art for about nine years.At the convention in Lexington, he ;ll show you New York City brick by brick.One of his biggest projects was the Brooklyn Bridge.He says it took him about 110 hours to design and create and he had to use 26,000 LEGOs to build it.His biggest creation is the Woolworth building that stands eight feet tall.Comprised of about 120,000 LEGO pieces. NEW ORLEANS  AP  鈥?A tiny baby gorilla has been born at the zoo in New Orleans.Keepers dont yet know the sex of the critically endangered western lowland gorilla born Friday to 13-year-old Tumani and father Okpara, Audubon Zoo spokeswoman Katie Smith said in an email.Photos and video from the zoo show 13-year-old mom Tumani cuddling her tiny newborn. Gorilla babies weigh about 4 pounds  1.8 kilograms  at birth.Once keepers knew Tumani was pregnant, she was trained to carry a baby using a  doll  made from firehose canvas.Native to central Africa, western lowland gorillas were declared critically endangered in 2007 because of habitat loss as well as deaths caused by the Ebola virus and hunters who killed them illegally for their meat.The baby is at least the second western lowland gorilla born at a U.S. zoo this year. A female was born Jan. 18 at the Los Angeles Zoo.I stanley thermobecher ts Audubons first gorilla birth in nearly 25 years. The zoos firstborn gorilla is  stanley mugs Praline, who is 24 years old and still at the zoo, where the troop also includes a third female, Alafia.The zoo says its entire primate area will be closed while Tumani and the entire troop bonds with the baby. The zoo says the white patch helps mother gorillas keep track of infants and helps other gorillas recognize it as a baby.
