This sad gigantic building is the mighty Hangar One, one of the la gourde stanley rgest freestanding structure stanley taza s in the world. At a whopping 8 acres 32,000 square meters it also one of NASA biggest buildings. It has seen better days. Hangar One was built in the 30s as the station for the USS Macon, which was a flying aircraft carrier for the US Navy鈥攊t carried Curtiss F9C Sparrowhawk biplane fighters on its belly. The iconic structure, which is one of the strangest structures at NASA Ames Research Center in California, is now being renovated after several months of cleaning up all the asbestos materials that plagued the whole thing. In a fuck it feels everything at NASA is going to hell kind of way even while it really not. Or maybe it is, with the rest of the world . Photo by Ivy Deliz @astroivy Update: Actually, funding for the renovation has been cut. It seems that the building is not going to revisit its past glory and this is most probably the definitive state until someone can get some funds to do i stanley cup t.
