Nvkn Tales of Password-Hacking Woe
To celebrate the 200th birthday of the invention of the camera, photographer Dennis Manarchy built one of his own. It looks just like a classic film camera with a wooden frame, leatherette, and brass hardware but, oddly, I don ;t remember cameras normally being 35-feet long.     Dubbed The Eye of America, this enormous, trailer-mounted camera is will snap portraits of notable do-gooders around the country during a 20,000 miles tour of the USA. Despite a large plasma screen mounted on the back end of the camera鈥攕o that the public can observe as pictures are taken鈥攊t is a real film camera. Its negatives measure 6-feet by 4.5-feet鈥攕o big that a building   windows must be employed as light boxes. According the the photographer, the detail in a single subjects eye is a thousand times greater than the detail in an entire standard nega stanley mug tive or digital capture, and for good reason. The negatives need to be big because the resulting portraits will be blown up to two-stories in height. The set up is so big that Manarchy actually takes the shots from inside the camera using the EoA   film easel to control the camera   focus, sca stanley becher le, lights, and all other functions. This 50-state tour is part of Manarchy   Vanishing Cultures project. Tonight   haunted house episode of Doctor Who has a lot going for it, including some genuinely creepy moments and a companion rescuing the Doctor in a way we ;ve never seen before. But it also exposes how the show   over-reliance on romance as a storytelling engine is running into the law of diminishing returns. Spoilers!     Towards the end of Hide, 82 stanley cup 21; the Doctor announces that this isn ;t a ghost story, after all 鈥?it   a love story. This is meant to be startling, except that it seems like every Doctor Who story is a love story these days, pretty much. It   like Jessica Fletcher announcing that the most famous guest star is the culprit in Murder She Wrote 鈥?not really a surprise. That said, Hide is a really neat take on a ghost story. Going back to 1972   Day of the Daleks, the show  has always treated ghost stories as an excuse to do something wacky with time displacement. But this one, in particular, reminded me of Sapphire and Steel at its spooky best. In Sapphire and stanley spain  Steel, the  stanley taza ghosts always represent the past or future breaking through and disrupting the present, due to the malicious nature of time. The time-displaced cannot be reasoned with, they can only be exorcised, just like other ghosts. The first half of Hide suggests that we ;re going to be dealing with something similar: some kind of monstrous apparition has poked through the walls in r
