While Congress聽passed a bill with aid聽to Ukraine and Israel in April, Democrats remain divided over Israels handling of its war against Hamas.The top four congressional leaders 鈥?House Speaker stanley cup Mike Johnson, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell 鈥?signed on to a letter inviting Netanyahu on May 31.An Israeli official confirmed that Netanyahu will address Congress on July 24.The聽timing of the address was uncertain聽earlier this week, after an initial floated date of June 13 was ruled out because it fell on the Jewish holiday Shavuot.
