Local residents will have to wait a bit longer to find out if CNs plans for an intermodal hub in Milton have been turned down or approved by the federal government.According to a notice posted on the Impact Assessment Agency of Canadas website Sept. 21, the governor in council has extended the time limit for a decision to be issued by up to 90 days. The verdict was previously anticipated by the end of September.While the notice doesnt specify a reason for the change, Halton Regions website indicates the extension was granted  to recognize the extenuating circumstances arising from the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts to communities, businesses and stakeholders.                ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW                                         The Halton municipalities, together with the community an stanley cup d our MPs and MPPs, have voiced strong concerns about this project and the significant adverse effects it will cause to human health and the environment,  said Regional Chair Gary Carr. From U.S. Attorneys Office, Northern District of New YorkSYRACUSE, NY 鈥?Austin Tennant, age 29, of Phoenix, New York, was sentenc stanley website ed today to 180 months  15 years  in federal prison for distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography. Tennant was previously convicted following a four-day trial in February 2024.The announcement was made by United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Matthew Scarpino, Special Agent in Charge of the Buffalo Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations  HSI .The evidence at trial established that, between September of 2022 and January of 2023, Tennant obtained from the Internet, and directly from child victims, hundreds of videos and thousands of images of child pornography. Th stanley cup e evidence further established that Tennant later redistributed that same child pornography to others, including to other children in an effort to induce them to provide him with sexually explicit images and videos of themselves.In addition to imposing a 15-year term of imprisonment, Chief United States District Judge Benda K.
