不孕不育关联基因发现

日本熊本大学的研究小组发现了控制形成卵子和精子所需染色体减数分裂的基因，将其命名为“MEIOSIN”。

此前形成卵子和精子时引起减数分裂的详细机制一直不清楚，

该成果有望推动不孕不育治疗等生殖医学的发展。

生物组织和器官一般是通过“体细胞分裂”来持续进行细胞增殖。

研究小组对卵巢和精囊内的蛋白质谱进行了解析。

通过质谱法，确定了作为减数分裂“开关”的基因，

并将其命名为减数分裂起始因子“MEIOSIN”。

研究发现，MEIOSIN具有极为罕见的特性，

仅在卵巢和精囊开始减数分裂之前的特定时期被激活，

MEIOSIN在激活减数分裂方面发挥着不可或缺的作用，

是与卵子和精子的形成有关的重要基因。
